Romeo came from Texas when his owner passed and family could not care for him. He came with his sister Snow, who sadly had to be put down due to medical issues. He deserves to live happy, healthy and loved and he sure is loved here.
Sadly Romeo lost his battle with heartworm in August of 2023.
He will be missed by so many that he touched!
Elliot was also rescued from Texas as he was in an illegal area which can mean euthanasia so we gladly brought him home. He is shy at first but a super sweet little guy who has had a hard life. We hope to teach him that human touch and love is a great thing!
Woofie was in Texas in an illegal area and in desperate need of a new safe home. He was found as a stray and is so well behaved and such a sweet boy. Unfortunately, he was found to be heartworm positive so he will be on medication to save his life from that.
This year we lost Wolfie to Leptospirosis and his death hit us all very hard as he was our Ambassador.
Yokie is a 2-year-old Southern girl. She came to us from Mississippi and is loving the cooler weather! She is a big goofball and loves to jump and play!!!
Arti came to us from Missouri. She is soon becoming the crowd favorite for her loving and snuggly personality!!! She is a gentle sweetheart!
Arti went back to her owner, we all miss her but she is in the right place she needs to be!!!
Wya is also from Mississippi and is Yokie's sister. She is very shy at first but then just loves to get belly rubs.
Manny came to us under pretty unfair conditions. He was in an illegal state and thought to be a GSD mix...found out wolf was the mix so had to find a new home to keep him safe. He is a big goofy, loving boy who fit right in with us here! We recently lost Manny to a twisted stomach, which can happen in big chested dogs. He will be missed terribly by everyone who knew him.
Aspen came to us in August and she is now paired with Renegade. They are bonding well. She is partially blind so adjustment is needed but she is the sweetest girl.
Moxie came from Indiana. She was trapped by animal control and tested to be a wolfdog so they couldn't adopt her out. She was very shy at first but now comes running for belly rubs and loves when she sees us!!! She loves being outside and has fit in very well.
Luna came to us from Indiana in an illegal area so she couldn't be readopted out. She is shy at first but very loving. She is only 9 months old so we will enjoy watching her grow into the beautiful wolfdog that she is!
Duke came to us with his 3 brothers. They were illegally bred and got loose, were captured and placed into a shelter and then came to us. Due to this he is very wary of people but does like chest scratches when he allows it.
Decker came with his 3 brothers. He is also very wary of humans but does allow us to pet him once in a while and does like it. Since we separated him from Duke and placed him with Wya...who he absolutely adores...he has started letting more people love on him!
Gally was very shy like his brothers at first, but snice we put him in with Moxie he is starting to blossom into a very friendly guy!
Summer is one of our oldest wolfdogs here, along with her pen mate Pooofff. She loves people, pets and scratches. Summer came to us with almost no hair and after many trials and tests we found out she has horrible allergies, so she is on allergy medicine year round. She is in search of a sponsor to help with this cost. Please click the sponsor button below to help her stay healthy.
Pooofff is the 2nd oldest wolfdog we have, and he is almost blind, but Summer is his seeing eye wolf and he gets around just fine with her help. He is such a lover and just loves pets and scratches.
Lance came to us from Indiana, from a hoarding situation, he was extremely underweight and scared of everyone and everything. After my daughter spent hours with him, they became the best of friends and formed an amazing bond. He now loves to meet new people.
Gweeny is a playful but cautious girl. She has her one person, but will sometimes let other people pet her. She does like to give hand kisses though. She loves Lance, but does flirt with the boy next door.
Renny is the "boy next door" that Gweeny flirts with. He was with his brother Reaper, but is now with Aspen and is much happier. He also has chosen one person who he is most comfortable with, but we are letting him interact with more volunteers.
Sadly in Nov. 2024 we lost Renny to a brain aneurysm. He will forever be in our hearts and will be missed dearly.
Larry is an Ex FBI service dog and greets everyone with his nose! He loves people and his pen mate Aiyana. He loves butt rubs and giving kisses.
Aiyana is a very energetic, but a shy girl. It took almost 8 months before she would willingly come up to any of us, but she now comes over for her favorite thing...belly rubs!
Reaper came to us with his brother. We separated them due to Reaper being too worried about what his brother was up to and nervous about that fact. he was severely abused, so he is a little unpredictable. He has chosen one volunteer as his person though and turns into a puppy when he comes to visit. Reaper is a true Sanctuary animal and t
Reaper came to us with his brother. We separated them due to Reaper being too worried about what his brother was up to and nervous about that fact. he was severely abused, so he is a little unpredictable. He has chosen one volunteer as his person though and turns into a puppy when he comes to visit. Reaper is a true Sanctuary animal and thus does not work in our Dual Healing program. He will live out the rest of his life happy and healthy here.
Juneau came to us from an illegal area in Texas as a stray. She was flown on a private jet to us by a 19-year-old pilot who volunteered his time and plane. She is an absolute joy to have as she loves everyone who gives her belly rubs!
Kylen also was flown with Juneau on the plane to us. He has grown about 3 inches taller since being here and he loves belly rubs and playing with people, especially one of our Veterans, Jeff, as he loves to flea bite his beard!
Chevy came to us from Indiana with his 2 "sisters" Mia and Aiyana. Chevy takes a little while to warm up to new people and his bark is our security system, but once he accepts you into his pack, he is a big marshmallow! He can lay for hours getting belly rubs and drooling.
Mia is one of our lowest content wolfdogs, but our biggest escape artist. If a pen is "Mia proofed" then no one is getting out! She is our resident hair stylist and loves to play with your hair..."gel" included free! She is a pure joy to have around and is so friendly with everyone.
Please sponsor a Veteran today so we can help more Veterans who deserve so much more than they are getting from the VA.
Ash came to us from the litter of 5 puppies we rescued when their owner could no longer care for them. His brother and sisters were all adopted but we decided to keep him as an ambassador, so he is in training for that and is a very lovable pup! He will be a large wolfdog as he is about 55lbs at 5 months old!
Waylon is part of the "Cali 6" who we rescued from Barstow. They were left without food/water and left to die. He is very timid with new people right now but is getting more adventurous.
Ivy is the only female from the "Cali 6". She is such a lover girl and loves belly rubs. She is still timid around strangers but once she knows you, she loves with her whole heart!
Bandit is the smallest of the "Cali 6". He is still pretty timid but slowly learning that human touch is a very good thing, he loves being with Ivy and they are bonded.
Barney also is one of the "Cali 6". We call him "Bobble Head Barney" because he is always so happy to see us and his head bobbles as he jumps all around us! He is the most loving of the 6 and we love loving on him!
Willy also is part of the "Cali 6". He is our laid back boy. Nothing seems to bother him and he is most likely to be found away from the others chewing on a bone or playing with a toy.
Titan is the last of the "Cali 6". He is very playful, but at a distance. We are teaching him human touch is a good thing so very soon we will get loves from him!
Beauty came to us from a Veteran who could no longer care for her as we were told, so she came to us and is flourishing with her new pen mate Waylon! She is highly trained and such a lover to all who meet her!!!
Fiona came to us from a very responsible lady who adopted her from a Human Society and when she got her DNA tested she came back with wolf DNA, and she knew a wolfdog doesn't belong in a small apartment in a big Wi city, so she brought her to us. She loves belly rubs and snuggles!
This bouncy loving girl is our 2nd from Michigan, which is a no content state, that was illegally bred and was brought into a Human Society, which called us and said if we couldn't take her then unfortunately they would have to euthanize her. Of course we took her and so glad we did! She is an absolute joy to be around, very loving and so happy to get loves!
Summer has severe allergies and when she came to us she had virtually no hair on her body. We have since found one medicine that helps all her allergy issues...body, eyes and ears. This medicine costs us $120.00/month so we would appriciate donations towards her vet bills.
We do have most of the new sanctuary built, but still need 2 more pens built for the "Cali 6" and need a new Animal Care room built for animal care to be easier and healthier for all, Please donate today to help us achiever this goal!
You can help sponsor a Veteran to be able to come here to Heal. Money goes to furnish supplies for them while here.
